Reed & Barton 1800 pattern
Better than I expected. Just beautiful, sturdy, shiny, strong. Good weight. Feels good in your hand. Bought service for 12 and the 4-piece Hostess Set. Worth every penny - but look around, I found prices for (new)one place setting of 5, for as much as $55 and as low as $35. I plan on getting the 3-piece Serving Set, 12 iced teaspoons and 12 cocktail forks too.
Finally, a complete set of flatware
A number of years ago I purchased 12 place settings of Reed & Barton 1800, but no serving pieces. Decided, now is the time. This Hostess Set is so fine, very heavy and high quality. If you have 1800 flatware, do yourself a favor and get the hostess set. It will make you feel good every time it is used.
