Not made in England - Spode Soup Rimmed Bowls
I did not know, until I received my rimmed soup bowls, that Spode is now being made outside of England. Much to my dismay, my 'made in Malaysia' bowls do not nestle together with my other bowls that were made in England. The bowls made in Malaysia are also of inferior quality, with flaws and unevenness in the pottery itself. They are slightly smaller than my original Spode bowls. I am very unhappy with my purchase, but did not know, at the time, to ask if they were made somewhere other than England. I will not make that mistake again.
As soon as I can afford to, I will be replacing these inferior bowls with the real - made in England - soup bowls. Reputable sellers should include whether their Spode is made in England or elsewhere.
Christmas
I never expected to find this style bowl from Spode - they are great. i wll need to buy more.
Spode Christmas soup plates
The Spode Christmas soup plates were in perfect shape and arrived on time. The packing was exemplary. What could be better.
