Wedgwood Nantucket Bone China Creamer

bit surprised w/craftmanship
First, I want to say that I am grateful and amazed that my creamer arrived in one piece. It was not packaged carefully.
Secondly, I like the dainty size of this creamer. I had in my mind that it would be bigger than it is. But it is the same size of another vintage Italian ceramic creamer. I love this pattern and registered it on wedding registry. It's a relatively old pattern (Wedgwood started making it in the early 1980s). I wish people would sell it on Craig's List, but no one does. So my family and friends and I buy new china (of this pattern) made in Asia as opposed to England.

So here's the point, I was surprised to see "indentations" within the body of the creamer where the handles are attached. This is true of the gravy boat, too. I called another china store that I've received gifts from to see if it's common. The saleswoman didn't know. After looking at pictures online, I realized it's "just the way it is." So Ladies, just be prepared that current Wedgwood...

Perfect gift
Years ago, my dear friend had fallen in love with the Wedgwood Nantucket Bone China Sugar Bowl and purchased it for herself. When I asked her about the matching Creamer, she mentioned how expensive it was. Recently, I remembered this as I was looking for a gift for her. Of all the online retailers, as well as local stores, this was the most reasonable price. I was a little apprehensive about getting such a delicate item shipped. The Creamer arrived well protected and packaged, in perfect condition. Can't wait to see my friend's joy when she opens her gift!

Smaller size than I expected!
And, Like the sugar bowl, I expected thinner pottery. Great classic lines, but more of an every day item than fine china.
