Flaws in the glass. Very disappointing.
The glasses I received are not up to Spode's usual quality. One glass had a chip in the gold rim that makes it useless as a drinking glass. Two of the others had numerous bubbles in the glass. A very disappointing purchase.
Spode collectors take note
For Spode "Christmas Tree" item collectors, this was the way to buy. Much less expensive than the department stores, yet the same quality.
Spode hiball glasses
These are a good wedding and/or wedding shower gift. Most likely the couple will pack them away and use them only during the Holiday season, but will remember where they got them which cannot be said for a more traditional wedding gift.
