Not Amazon's usual quality
I do not know what happened with my order. It was supposedly "in stock" at Amazon's warehouse (not coming from a vendor). I received it two+ weeks after the date it was promised. While it was in the original Spode box, the packing material was missing and it was haphazardly wrapped in a couple pieces of used bubble wrap. The gravy boat stand was clearly a "second" as it had an irregular green rim painted around the edge and a chip that had been covered over with paint and glaze. To make the order even more weird, it was shipped in a box from a coffee manufacturer that had food grease stains inside of it. There were UPS labels all over the box with personal information crossed off. I suspect Amazon received this as a return and sent it to me without checking the item or repackaging it in their shipping container. I always trusted Amazon to provide first quality merchandise at good prices, but will be very leery in the future! Now I know why I paid $63.99 for a $163 MRSP item. If...
Spode that is made in China has Inferior QUALITY!
Although Amazon shipped quickly and has great prices - this piece of Spode does NOT have the same quality of my other Spode Christmas Tree pieces that were MADE IN ENGLAND. Buyer beware and stress to SPODE to up their quality control and switch ALL manufacturing back to England!

This is such a nice product. My sister told me she wanted one and when I found this one I was totally elated.
